Port selection

Advanced Installer will create two websites. The Dashboard (Frontend) Website is the site you will access to view dashboards and reports, the other site is internally referenced only.

The Port Selection screen allows you to modify the dashboard port to your requirements, it is this port you will use when browsing the portal (e.g., https://adv01.contoso.com:444). The API port is read-only. Firewall rules will be automatically created for the dashboard, and API websites.

The installer will automatically recommend the best available port for the dashboard website. You can change this if you wish.

Examples:

In this example, the installer automatically determined that the best available port was 443 :

Example - Standard server host name FQDN certificate used with port 443.

In this example, the installer automatically determined that the best available port was 444 :

Example - CNAME / Alias certificate used with port 444.

Confirm the required Dashboard Port and click Next.
