# Telemetry Data collected by Advanced Insights

In order to function and to help improve our product and services, Advanced Insights collects and stores the following telemetry data.

| Item                | Why                                                                                     |
| ------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Installer Telemetry | To track installations and their success state.                                         |
| Activation          | Collected by our licensing API to tell us which products have been activated.           |
| Installed version   | Collected by our licensing API to tell us which version of software has been installed. |
