“Group not found” shown for an Assignment of a successful deployment

Details why you will see a “Group not found” entry for a successful deployment.


I’ve successfully deployed an app in Patch My PC Cloud. However, when I look at its properties (by clicking on the deployment, pressing More Info, and expanding the Assignment Type), why does it show (Group not found) beside the assignment?


This is because someone has deleted the group used for the assignment from Intune.


To resolve this issue, recreate and reconfigure the relevant group in Intune. Then edit the deployment in the portal and add the assignment to the newly created group, before completing the deployment.
