You may have some apps you want to deploy as a Patch My PC (PMPC) Cloud Custom App that require a folder structure. We currently do not support this natively in PMPC Cloud but are considering it for a future release.
If you currently use our on-premises Publisher, you can use the following workaround to add a folder structure to a Custom App:
Follow the Create a Custom App process to create the app.
Once the app has been created successfully in the portal, open the Publisher and navigate to the relevant tab (ConfigMgr Apps, Intune Apps, or Intune Updates) containing the Custom App.
Navigate to All Custom Apps | <relevant_app> (where <relevant_app> is the location of the Custom App you want to upload the folder structure for), then right-click the app and select Add custom pre/post scripts.
On the Choose Custom Pre/Post Script(s) screen, click Browse in the Additional folders section.
Navigate to the folder you want to add and select it to add it to the list of folders in Publisher.
Note
Selecting a folder does not automatically add any subfolders.
Tip
To add several folders at once, select them all at once in the Select Folder screen.
Click OK.
If you do not want to add any files, go to Step 9. If you also want to add any files, on the Choose Custom Pre/Post Script(s) screen, click Browse in the Additional files section.
Navigate to the folder(s) containing the relevant files you want to add and select them to add them to the list of files in Publisher.
Tip
To add several files at once, select them all in the Open screen.
Click OK.
On the main Publisher screen, click the Sync Schedule tab.
On the Sync Schedule tab, click Run Publishing Service Sync.
On the Do you want to save settings popup, click Yes to save your changes and run the sync.
Click OK on the Run Now Successful popup.
Your Custom App will now be created with the folders you added.
Tip
You can click on the General tab and then click Open PatchMyPC.log to open the log file to monitor the sync.
