# Test an Email Notification in Cloud *Applies to: Patch My PC Cloud* You can test an email notification from Patch My PC (PMPC) Cloud both at the time it is created and afterward. ### Testing an email notification at the time of creation 1. Follow the [Create an Email Notification](https://docs.patchmypc.com/patch-my-pc-cloud/manage/manage-settings/manage-cloud-notifications/create-a-cloud-email-notification) process. 2. Once you have entered and saved the relevant email addresses, click the small envelope beside an email address (![](https://3773699522-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MX7dvS0r_4fc0AikgJS%2Fuploads%2Fxf8HI9He9w4GO5gATVFh%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=7e292d89-fcce-4f5a-8a2c-bc779c834575)) to send a test message to that email address.

The Cloud Portal will send a test email and display the **Success - Test email has been sent** notification.

If the email address is valid, the user will receive an email with the following details:\ \ **Sender:** Patch My PC<>\ **Subject:** Test notification from Patch My PC Cloud
