# Overview

*Applies to: Patch My PC Publisher V2.x*

The Updates tab is where you select which third-party updates should be published to WSUS. Products enabled here determine which third-party updates the Publisher will publish and maintain within your environment.

For ConfigMgr customers, updates selected on this tab are published to WSUS and can then be synchronized into ConfigMgr when Publisher is installed on the Software Update Point (SUP). This allows third-party updates to be deployed and reported on in the same way as Microsoft updates.

Third-party updates synchronized from WSUS to ConfigMgr during a SUP sync will appear in the **Software Library > All Software Updates** node in the ConfigMgr console.

Additional behavior related to update publishing can be configured using the [**Options**](/patch-my-pc-publisher/administration/updates/options.md) button on the Updates tab.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.patchmypc.com/patch-my-pc-publisher/administration/updates/overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
