# License the Managed Service Provider Feature

*Applies to: Patch My PC Cloud*

Once the parent MSP company has been onboarded to Patch My PC (PMPC) Cloud, you must configure it to use an MSP Plus license.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important**

Once you license a company with an MSP license, you cannot switch that company to a different PMPC Cloud license type.
{% endhint %}

To configure a company to use an MSP Plus license:

1. Follow the [Manage your License](https://docs.patchmypc.com/patch-my-pc-cloud/managed-service-provider-feature/broken-reference) process and enter the MSP Plus license key on the **Enter License Key** field, then click **Activate Now**.
2. Click **Close** on the **You have successfully activated your license** dialog box.\

**Note**

MSP Companies (both parent and child) are subject to the limits detailed in [Patch My PC Cloud Product limits](https://docs.patchmypc.com/patch-my-pc-cloud/product-limits).

Also, if an MSP license expires, then the MSP tenant and all customers linked to it will be switched to read-only mode.
