# DEPRECATED & NON-PUBLIC: Manage Cloud Intune tenants

*Applies to: Patch My PC Cloud*

The Patch My PC (PMPC) Cloud portal allows you to connect to an Intune tenant. You can also delete the connection and connect to a different tenant if required.

### Connecting to an Intune tenant

To connect your portal to a new Intune tenant:

1. Click **Connect** under **Connect Intune**.

<figure><img src="https://3773699522-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MX7dvS0r_4fc0AikgJS%2Fuploads%2FizsJC7tnwKvyMcViyvqo%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=277e0992-677b-4a8f-8e97-803523cc7ec7" alt="Clicking &#x27;Connect&#x27; under &#x27;Connect Intune&#x27;." width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2. Enter the Entra ID you used to onboard to PMPC Cloud or click to select the relevant account from the list of already signed-in accounts. Then click **Next**.

<figure><img src="https://3773699522-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MX7dvS0r_4fc0AikgJS%2Fuploads%2FvnV0Jmw1Nb3uOsUffQzp%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=7d312412-6b55-4efc-a5be-20f998e806cc" alt="Microsoft &#x27;Sign in&#x27; screen" width="329"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3. Enter the password and click **Sign in**.

<figure><img src="https://3773699522-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MX7dvS0r_4fc0AikgJS%2Fuploads%2FbefJPp5KanHQu4EP3tAD%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=10db3e3a-3bef-4b39-baa7-94aa6ace826b" alt="Microsoft &#x27;Enter password&#x27; screen" width="329"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

4. On the **Permissions requested** screen, click **Accept**.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note**

To connect with Intune, the signed-in user must have the **Cloud Application Administrator** or the **Application Administrator** role to allow creation of the Enterprise app, and the **Privileged Role Administrator** role to approve the Graph API permissions we require. A **Global Administrator** can also perform both steps.

See [Permissions required for the Intune Apps](https://docs.patchmypc.com/patch-my-pc-cloud/technical-references/cloud-permissions-reference/permissions-required-for-intune-apps) for more details.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="https://3773699522-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MX7dvS0r_4fc0AikgJS%2Fuploads%2F0Qk11z5aEVmsn1AyZ8Rg%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=36e2d0e6-4bdb-48f3-b3c0-3d0c79261ce9" alt="&#x27;Permission requested&#x27; screen" width="329"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="success" %}
**Tip**

You can click the down arrow beside each permission to get more information.
{% endhint %}

As this is a new, unlicensed company, the PMPC Cloud Portal is displayed with the **Start Trial** pop-up.

5. On the **Start Trial** screen, enter the number of devices you want to use during your trial, then click **Start Trial**

<figure><img src="https://3773699522-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MX7dvS0r_4fc0AikgJS%2Fuploads%2FKnUZkHKs0v5wMs4eOsFv%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=d0373715-39ab-45b4-bc7a-85b9abd6c664" alt="Entering the number of devices you want to use during your trial" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

6. On the **Your 30-day trial has started** screen, click **Close**

<figure><img src="https://3773699522-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MX7dvS0r_4fc0AikgJS%2Fuploads%2FENYagHZd2g9QIFEKTmBs%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=717a3551-30b0-4882-a030-0bd124de8df9" alt="Clicking &#x27;Close&#x27; on the &#x27;Your 30-day trial has started&#x27; screen" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note**

During your trial, a countdown is displayed, showing the number of days left on the trial. Once your trial expires, you will see the **Your license has expired** notification.

<img src="https://3773699522-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MX7dvS0r_4fc0AikgJS%2Fuploads%2F07eHrqT5kWYHZE6KTzhx%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=63553f0e-9a60-4596-a29b-1ff2340c1d4c" alt="&#x27;Your license has expired&#x27; notification" data-size="original">

The PMPC Cloud portal is then displayed, including the **Subscription** page under **Settings**

<figure><img src="https://3773699522-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MX7dvS0r_4fc0AikgJS%2Fuploads%2FSBQ0UsYDdN12D24VYHtA%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=3ab67526-a4a3-49f6-805f-6bc888fcb65a" alt="PMPC Cloud portal displayed, including &#x27;Subscription&#x27; page" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Clicking on the **Subscriptions** page displays information related to the company’s subscription, such as the current plan, expiry date, etc.

It also provides a useful matrix allowing you to compare information such as the features and limits available for each of the subscription levels.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note**

If your company is already running an Enterprise Premium subscription, you will not see the diamonds in the portal and the Enterprise Premium features will not be blurred out unless your subscription has expired.

Also, if your company is a Managed Service Provider (MSP) parent company, the **Subscription** page will show this. There will also be no diamonds or blurring of Enterprise Premium features as MSPs get access to all features as part of their MSP license. The **Subscription** page is not shown for MSP child companies.

![Subscription page for a an MSP Company](https://3773699522-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MX7dvS0r_4fc0AikgJS%2Fuploads%2F2rF0h6bLzDPIKOpYLQvb%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=512c164e-f3bf-4a11-b1c1-895b0bdc0108)
{% endhint %}

If you click on an Enterprise Premium feature, such as **Reporting**, you will see the diamond and **Premium** in the header indicating this is a premium feature.

Your live data will be shown, but it will be blurred out until you either [upgrade to Enterprise Premium](https://docs.patchmypc.com/patch-my-pc-cloud/manage/manage-settings/manage-your-patch-my-pc-cloud-subscription/manage-your-patch-my-pc-cloud-license/upgrade-to-enterprise-premium) or [Sign up for an Enterprise Premium Trial](https://docs.patchmypc.com/patch-my-pc-cloud/manage/manage-settings/company-settings/sign-up-for-an-enterprise-premium-trial-from-enterprise-plus).

If you want to purchase a license, follow the [Request a Quote](https://docs.patchmypc.com/patch-my-pc-cloud/manage/manage-settings/manage-your-patch-my-pc-cloud-subscription/manage-your-patch-my-pc-cloud-license/request-a-quote-for-a-cloud-subscription) process.

{% hint style="success" %}
**Tip**

We recommend you do this before your trial ends, so you don't lose any functionality
{% endhint %}

7. Click **App Catalog**

<figure><img src="https://3773699522-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MX7dvS0r_4fc0AikgJS%2Fuploads%2F2mER0oTz7FTtfSjtfNEC%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=591393d2-eb66-4df9-bf40-c69904e9ca28" alt="Clicking &#x27;App Catalog&#x27;" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The list of applications that can be deployed and managed using Intune Apps for Cloud is displayed.

### Reconnecting an Intune tenant

If your portal loses its connection to your Intune tenant (for example, if a Global Admin revokes the [Permissions required for Intune Apps](https://docs.patchmypc.com/patch-my-pc-cloud/technical-references/cloud-permissions-reference/permissions-required-for-intune-apps) from within Intune), you can use the **Reconnect** button to re-establish the connection to your previously connected Intune tenant, which will re-grant the required permissions.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note**

The **Reconnect** button is only available once an Intune connection has been established.

You will only be able to reconnect to an Intune tenant you’ve previously connected to, based on the tenant ID we have stored in the portal’s database.
{% endhint %}

To reconnect your portal to an Intune tenant you’ve previously connected to:

1. Navigate to **Settings | Environments**.

<figure><img src="https://3773699522-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MX7dvS0r_4fc0AikgJS%2Fuploads%2FA9XvMIPwMbkBpNg5kjiG%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=b36d21ad-1453-4d58-a738-8f6206a21d4b" alt="Navigating to &#x27;Settings | Environments&#x27;" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2. Click **Reconnect** under your **Intune** tenant.

<figure><img src="https://3773699522-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MX7dvS0r_4fc0AikgJS%2Fuploads%2FTU88fI0qCKhLYv5nLDub%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=9d818dc9-be69-4936-a214-6683400b90d9" alt="Clicking &#x27;Reconnect&#x27; under the &#x27;Intune&#x27; section" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3. Enter the Entra ID you used to onboard to PMPC Cloud or click to select the relevant account from the list of already signed-in accounts. Then click **Next**.

<figure><img src="https://3773699522-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MX7dvS0r_4fc0AikgJS%2Fuploads%2FHwIxR19U1AirtAZjUYwu%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=a8c3c316-ffaf-413d-a8be-e99c6802286a" alt="Microsoft &#x27;Sign in&#x27; screen" width="329"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

4. Enter the password and click **Sign in**

<figure><img src="https://3773699522-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MX7dvS0r_4fc0AikgJS%2Fuploads%2FStmSYz4vJxvQnTVwp8ao%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=0fb94cb9-3309-4040-bae2-f2f8a68e0c9c" alt="Microsoft &#x27;Enter password&#x27; screen" width="329"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

5. On the **Permission requested** screen, click **Accept**

<figure><img src="https://3773699522-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MX7dvS0r_4fc0AikgJS%2Fuploads%2FyphPvNC625ux6OG975i1%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=041a1bc9-ad96-4176-8023-d5e39bf240f7" alt="&#x27;Permissions requested&#x27; screen" width="327"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

If the connection is successful, the **Environments** page is redisplayed, showing a green tick beside **Intune** to show your portal is connected to your Intune tenant.

<figure><img src="https://3773699522-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MX7dvS0r_4fc0AikgJS%2Fuploads%2FG6xQ1LRBPA88TLL0B5QE%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=9d68cc36-5d60-496d-82fa-a2babad36a5f" alt="&#x27;Environments&#x27; page showing a green tick beside Intune to show your portal is connected to your Intune tenant" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

If you click on the **Events** node, you will see a **Security** event titled **Intune Connection Added**, confirming that the Intune connection was restored.

<figure><img src="https://3773699522-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MX7dvS0r_4fc0AikgJS%2Fuploads%2FiUfaBh4kDi7PsEmQcLxg%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=b0778d44-0581-4b94-9a0f-529d25022694" alt="“Intune Connection Added” event, confirming the Intune connection was restored" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Deleting an Intune tenant connection

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important**

If you disconnect Intune from your PMPC Cloud Company, any added Entra ID Security Groups will be removed and lose access to your PMPC Cloud Company, and the **Add Group** button will no longer appear.
{% endhint %}
